2022
LAPL Members,
Normally we would have the full schedule out by now, however we have had an 11th team added and there is the possibility of a 12th team coming together at the last minute. This has caused me to have to create 3 different schedules, which are complete and ready to be sent out once the final number of teams is known. To avoid confusion, the BOG has decided not to release multiple schedules.
All of the schedules have the same week one matchups, so we are posting the week one schedule separately.
Week One Games:
We will release a full schedule once we know if team 23 will be a BYE or a new team.

Dear LAPL members,
The 12th team has been removed from the league for multiple no-shows. That has caused a mid season shuffle. All of Team 23's matches have been changed to BYE weeks, including the previous matches. We have also added play on April 19th (Tuesday after Easter) as a make up week so all teams will get 10 games even with the BYE week. Please review the updated schedule.

This past Saturday the Los Angeles Pool League held it's first qualifier tournament for this Summer's West Coast Challenge in San Francisco.
Thank you Jerry's Family Billiards for opening up early to host our Hi-Lo tournament. An even bigger thank you to Julian for setting up the bracket, keeping the tournament running efficiently and providing the pizzas that kept the players running too!!
18 players were paired based on their end of regular season averages into 9 Hi-Lo teams. There were a number of strong pairings due to the greater number of .500 and over averages that registered to play. Out of the 18 players, only 4 or 5 were under .500 average. However, the Diamond tables were fast, the pockets tight.........all in all the tables were unforgiving.
At the end of the day, our 'King of the Hill' team, Jose Torres and Steve Duckman, defeated all their opponents to win 1st Place. They will represent Los Angeles in August at the West Coast Challenge.
Congratulations to our other top teams:
2nd Place- Rick Ramirez and Julian Auzenne
3rd Place- Al Ballesteros and Patrick Yacoub
4th Place- Bryan Haneiwich and Laurie Jow
This past Sunday we held our Mother's Day 8 Ball tournament 'fun'draiser at Jerry's Family Billiards.
Thank you to Natalie and Jerry's for once again opening up early on a Sunday and hosting the 15 players who registered and played in the Race to 2/Race to 1 double ellimination format.
The day ended with our 'King of the Hill' Brenden Quigley settling for 2nd Place after being defeated twice by Arnell Ferry for 1st Place honors.
3rd Place was won by Ken Lee and Monty Kimball won 4th Place.
Congratulations to all our winners and to all those League and non League members who came out to compete and support the League. Play offs start this Tuesday for our League. Check the play off bracket on our web site for location, practice time and some general play off rules.
The Hi-Lo West Coast Challenge qualifier is on Saturday, May 21 at 12 noon at Jerry's. Registration closes at 1pm sharp. No late registration is allowed and you must be physically present to register. This is a seeded tournament, Race to 3 both sides of bracket, double ellimination. You must have played 55% of the available games this season for any player on a roster. That number is 22 games (losses by forfeit do not count).
If you are just shy of the 22 minimum qualified games played, your team Captain can petition the Board for a possible waiver of 1 or 2 games if it is justified. Waivers are considered on a case by case basis and not granted to all petitioners. It is the responsibility of the player and their Captain to petition the Board prior to the day of Hi-Lo or the Open Individuals/Women's qualifier on Saturday, July 9th.
Play Well. Have Fun.
