Don Carrier 7-8-9

The LAPL BOG would like to thank all who contributed to the great success of the special tribute to Don Carrier and the 7-8-9 Tournament at Trunks on Sunday, April 13.

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Jeffrey Hersh & Allen Montalbano for coordinating the event, as well as a special thank you to Rick Ayres, Pietro Gamino & Harry Ben-Zvi of Glazed Donut Bistro, Justin Yau, Timmie Winebrenner, Bill Hoover, Vic Karanfillian, and the staff of Trunks.

It was a great turn out and we were happy to see so many members of the LAPL including both current & former members along with friends from near and far. Your presence, generosity and continued support is greatly appreciated and it is because of you that we continue to grow!

Rene de Guzman, Don’s husband, would also like to thank you all that made Don’s memorial possible and says that “Don would have loved everything that you guys did”.

We finished off the afternoon with thirty-five participants in 7-8-9 Tournament. Congratulations to the top place finishers; Gabriel Rodriguez – 1st Place, Paul Kutac – 2nd Place, Schesary Berrios – 3rd Place and Cliff Giles, Jr. – 4th Place. Schesary was also the winner of the 50/50 Raffle and took home $150.
