2014
We had our junior/senior tournament this last Saturday at trunks. 28 people fought to play for champion of the ages. The 50-50 of 135 was split by Walter and Ray. We netted a total of $405 for the league.
Here are your winners:
Juniors
4th Justin Yau
3rd Joe Conner
2nd Jake Fisher
1st Tommy Nguyen
Seniors
4th Mike Harris
3rd Jim Prather
2nd Jose Torres
1st Phil Stephens
Phil beat out Tommy for champion of the ages!
Congrats Phil!
Thanks everyone
We had 26 players participate in the Hi-Lo Tournament Saturday May 3rd at the Public House. This new venue was met with overwhelming approval from the players.
Julian Auzenne and Matt Reilly withstood all challengers as they completed a solid showing one match after another. Sitting on the hill for what seemed an eternity, they patiently waited as each round of the competition was completed.
Phil Stephens and Brad Camac fought to a strong 2nd place finish in an "all-board" final. Their old-timers precision was too much for the youth of our third place pair of Russ Pepin and Steve King who battled one team after another to complete a day's worth of work in some close matches. Fourth place was earned by Pat Bingham and Brian LoTruglio.
Congratulations to Matt and Julian, who will represent us at the West Coast Challenge.
Russ
On Saturday we held the Last Chance Qualifier. We only had 7 contestants with the final winner being Paul Kutac, who will represent the LAPL in the WCC as our 8th place individual. Taking 4th was Darren Kendrick; 3rd Justin Yau; and runner up was Steve King who had been in the hot seat. Paul came back to win 2 matches at the end.
Congratulations Paul!

Our unending thanks for the cooperation and spectacular service to the staff at Public House for enduring 224 racks of pool which finally was completed after 10 o'clock last night. From 8 AM through the 10 o'clock hour, they kept each of us comfortable with air conditioning changes at our request, continually fed with awesome food and maintaining a never-ending service of beverages whether from the bar or ice water.
