Week Two

Hi to all members of the LAPL and welcome to week 2 of our 80th season.

From all reports that I have heard, week 1 got off to a pretty good start.  We had a few newer members shuffling from team to team all trying to find a good fit.  If anyone knows of any players who have not yet been able to find a team and really would like to play this season, please go to our website and complete the new player form and we do our best to find a team for each and every player who wishes to be a LAPL member.

Everyone mark your calendars as everyone's favorite fundraiser Lucky Draw @ Trunks will be held this coming Sunday Sept 8th with registration from 12:00 - 1:00 pm and play starting @ 1:00.

Important new business:

One last piece of business I would like to bring up is our new score sheet now that we have played 2 weeks and everyone should have been a Visitor by now.  There seems to be quite a bit of issue regarding how the score sheet is laid out on the Visitors side.  The first 3 players on the Visitors side of the sheet all have a gap of 7 games at some point during the match.  There was one team who had a player that needed to leave right after her last game as a Visitor and had such a long wait, convinced herself she must have played 4 games when in fact she played only 3 left to drive home and forfeited her last game.

I would like all captains to take a good look at the score sheet and vote via email (coming to you) whether to continue using the new score sheet, or bring back last season's score sheet by next week and we can re-visit during the next member's meeting.
