Week One

I want to welcome everyone back to the first week of our fall 2013 play “Season 80”.  There are lots of new faces on some old teams and from what I have heard, all seemed to have a great time.
 
Congrats to the winners of the first fundraiser of the season, Greased Lightning in memory of John Cochran.  1st was taken by Dustin Louie, 2nd Ray Brewer, 3rd Jeffrey Hersh, and 4th Joe Bertoldo.  A special thanks to John Jones for his generous donation to the HELP fund.  John has been a long time player in our league and since he has retired from playing, he has become one of the LAPL’s biggest donors and we are very grateful for his continued support.
 
Our next fundraiser is a week from this Sunday on September 8th, our Lucky Draw Tourney.  Hope to see everyone there.
 
One last point, there seems to be some confusion over the new score sheet.  Many teams used the old sheet from last season and the rest the new one off the website.  Captains please remember to use the new one posted on the website.  I would also like to get the team captain’s opinion regarding the new score sheet.
