Fall
This past Sunday, the Eagle LA hosted our Sudden Death 5 and out tournament fundraiser.
Big thank you to Charlie and Hunter for their continued support of our League and to Marcus for keeping everybody hydrated.
We started out with 7 players hoping to outlast each other for the top 3 cash pay outs. After about 90 minutes of fast paced play we had our top 3 winners. After a handful of customers/spectators asked if they could participate in the fun we started another round of 5 and out.
Once the 2nd round was completed, we held a 5 and out 'Finals' round with the top 3 winners from both of the previous rounds.
Congratulations to Saeromi Kim for her 3rd Place, $10 finish. Congratulations to Joe Nealon for his 2nd Place, $25 finish.
Our 1st Place, $45 Winner, a past LAPL member, now living in Seattle and here visiting family for the holiday was Hamilton Tsang.
Thank you to everybody who came out and played and especially to those that helped me keep it running smooth.
Our next tournament 'Fun'draiser is Pick a Partner 8 Ball Scotch Doubles at Jerry's Family Billiards on Sunday, December 10th. Registration is $20 and begins at 12 noon with a 1pm tournament start time.
If you don't have anybody picked out to bring as a playing partner, no worries. There will be other players that you can team up with at registration.
Come out, join us and help support the League.

Dear Members,
We are in the home stretch to end the Fall 2023 Season of play!
The team playoffs are down to the top 4 teams with The Sooeeze (Ray Brewer) in the hot seat and The Golden Eagles (Mark Lewis), The Wild Cards (Phil Sanchez) and Full Force (Angie Castillanos) battling it out to get into the championship match!
It's now time to start the BIG 3 Tournaments for the season! The Hi-Lo is the first of those tournaments! The Hi-Lo, Individuals and Womens go down in the history books for the league.
The Hi-Lo will take place at Crown City Billiards (Jerrys) tomorrow, Saturday 1/13/2024. Registration is from 12-1pm and play starts at 1pm. This tournament requires that you played at least 22 games (55%) in the regular season to qualify. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday so we can make this a great tournament!
Thanks,
Bryan Haneiwich
