From the President…
Greetings,
Welcome to the 77th season of the Los Angeles Pool League. Our member meeting was held on Tuesday, 21st at the Oxwood Inn. We will update information after the meeting to let you know about teams, new sponsors, and other important information.
The BOG on behalf of the members made a special presentation at the meeting. We awarded a unique thank you to Jeffrey Hersh for his work in conceiving, planning, organizing and spearheading the Joe Dreibus Lucky Draw Memorial Tournament.
After spirited debate, the members made a few rule changes which are spelled out in the Rules Addenda. Recognition was given to our WCC winners. The Open Individuals had Ricky Man placing third and Bryan Haneiwich capturing sixth. The Women’s saw Saeromi Kim fight a tough race finishing second in a tight struggle against Long Beach player Lauren Ward. Our BOG sister Malisa Mapu grabbed the fourth place honors. Thanks to all for a great WCC.
We welcome new BOG member Brad Camac and returning member Tim Clark. With LA hosting the WCC this season, the BOG will have a lot of work so we ask the members to support the League by attending fundraisers and helping where needed.
A special thanks to Russ Pepin and John Cochran (departing BOG members). We give you a great big hug for all your work!!
